And which ones do you think your readers enjoy the most or which do you think bring you the most traffic? _________________ Warmly,

Ok Natasha, this might be a time to show off your stuff, I really don't understand what widgets are and how you use them.. Fill me in, I get flumoxed by jargon, I am a hands on learner... _________________ Bambino Baskets

I didn't mean to talk over anyone. I just knew that anyone who USED widgets would know what they are.
Widgets are little tools, usually interactive, that you can put on your website or blog. My blog has a Finetune widget. Also, the Flickr widget. There's a [very cool] website called SpringWidgets.com that will allow you to get a whack of free widgets like a CNN news feed. It scrolls through news stories.
My favourite one is something that can go on a website that displays blog posts. _________________ Warmly,

Great topic.
I've very recently added Linkedin, Facebook, Technorati, and del-icio-us widgets to my blog.
These little tools give people an opportunity to get to know you better by the memberships you have on other social/community networking sites.
In addition, I've added the "DIGG" plugin. This allow people to vote for your post as being newsworthy, which can in turn drive traffic to your site - if enough people 'digg' your post.
A "Share This" link came with the Digg plugin, and it enables a whole whack of community bookmarking options.
I think these are some of the most popular widgets availble, but there are so many out there - it's great fun! _________________ -
