Hi Ladies - not sure where to put this one but I am working on a contract for a municipality on recruiting (in my spare time....haha) and I am trying to think of some really unique ideas to grab attention of applicants and showcase Calgary as a destination for professional candidates overseas and in the states.
I was thinking about a cool small scrapbook or some kind of unique item that would grab their attention.
Any ideas for me? _________________ Lisa J. Sierra

Years ago when I worked for a hotel in Cochrane, we set out the best greeting cards at Christmas. I still have not found the site, will keep looking. The site below has a few cards - it would be fun to have a office building on the outside and then when you opened the card a treehouse that would represent your cool place pops up.

Those were cool.
So, you're trying to recruit doctors and such to Calgary?
Try telling them that Calgary's getting a Restoration Hardware soon. YAHOO!
I might be able to think of some creative things to send out, if you could say how you're contacting them in the first place to grab their attention. How are you reaching them? Are you sending info to universities? Professional associations? _________________ Warmly,

Great - thanks for the suggestions - I am going to take a look at the sites. I am specifically recruiting Urban Planners right now and in anser to your question Natasha, I haven't completed narrowed down where I want to look - any suggestions welcome. The old tried and true ads and professional association ads aren't bringing out the folks who are not currently looking.
Suggestions from all??? _________________ Lisa J. Sierra

You might be able to find people by looking for relevant groups on Facebook. Is there anything that urban planners might have in common? I'm not sure what you mean by urban planners. Like, engineers? Architects? _________________ Warmly,
